I like some of the things that 37Signals is doing and enjoyed this video interview with Jason Fried, the founder of 37Signals.
I recently came across a company that is obviously trying to emulate 37Signals called the hive. Even their logo is strikingly similar to the 37Signals logo.
Their mascot/symbol is “The Orb”, which “…signifies the profound nature of their vision.” and prominantly displays the number 42. I guess since 37Signals has a number they should too and 42Hives was a bit too much, or perhaps it is a tip of the hat to Douglas Adams. Who knows.
I find that 37Signals in many ways has formulated a modern interpretation of the great ideas of Edwards Deming.
